"inversely proportional to the square of distance"
Sounds complicated. It's not.
It just means:
Double the distance โ gravity becomes 4x weaker Triple โ 9x weaker
That's it.
More mass = stronger pull More distance = way weaker pull
The orbit question?
A planet is basically falling toward the sunโฆ but moving sideways fast enough to keep missing it.
That's an orbit.
Mass vs weight is also always on there.
Mass = doesn't change Weight = depends on gravity
Moon = 1/6 gravity โ you weigh less
