Why your lab partner finishes the Plate Tectonics Gizmo in 10 minutes
You ever notice this?
Someone finishes the Plate Tectonics Gizmo super fast, and you're still stuck on question 3.
It's not that they're smarter.
They just already understand the model.
Everything in this Gizmo comes down to 3 things:
Convergent โ plates collide Divergent โ plates move apart Transform โ plates slide past
That's it.
Most questions are just: "which one is this and why?"
The tricky one is earthquakes.
Transform boundaries = more earthquakes Because plates get stuck โ then suddenly slip
Subduction is the other one people mix up.
Oceanic plate always goes under. It's denser.
That's why volcanoes show up near those zones.
Also โ teachers care a LOT about wording.
Not just "what happens", but using terms like: subduction, lithosphere, etc.
If you're stuck rewriting answers over and over, just check how it's supposed to be explained.
I used this: ๐ gizmosanswerkey.shop/gizmo/plate-tectonics
Helped me figure out the wording way faster than I would have on my own.
